Older adults are facing particular problems when using technology in their daily routine. Reasons for their difficulties can often be attributed to the design of the interface, which, in many cases, is not tailored to their specific needs and abilities. This research project is concerned with the experimental investigation of gesture-based interaction, fathoming its potential of facilitating technology use by older adults. The focus lies on touch- and gesture control for mobile devices, its usability and acceptance.
